Clear plastic sheets
Clear plastic sheet replaces glass where weight, breakage or shaping matter. The three clear sheets we supply each suit a different job: acrylic for clarity and finish, polycarbonate for toughness, and PETG for thin sheet that bends.
Plastics Hub NZ supplies all three as flat sheet. Choose one below for its common thicknesses and sizes, or tell us the job and we'll suggest one.

Clear sheet we supply
Clarity
Acrylic is the clearest of the three and polishes back to a glass-like edge. Polycarbonate and PETG are clear too, with a slightly softer surface that scratches more easily.
Toughness
Polycarbonate is far tougher than acrylic and is the one to choose where a sheet may be hit. PETG sits between the two and bends without cracking.
Not in our range
We do not supply corrugated or twin-wall polycarbonate. All three clear sheets here are solid flat sheet.

Clear plastic sheets questions
- Which clear plastic is the strongest?
- Solid polycarbonate is the toughest clear sheet we supply and is very hard to break. Acrylic is clearer and more scratch resistant, but it can crack under a hard impact.
- Is clear plastic sheet lighter than glass?
- Yes. Acrylic, polycarbonate and PETG all weigh about half as much as glass of the same thickness, and none of them shatters like glass.
- Do you supply twin-wall polycarbonate?
- No. Corrugated and twin-wall polycarbonate are not part of our range. We supply solid flat polycarbonate sheet.
- Can you cut clear sheet to size?
- Cutting is available on certain materials at certain depots. Request a quote with your sizes and we'll confirm.
