Payment and security
How card payments work, and why your card details never reach us.
How you pay
Online checkout isn't open yet. Until it is, orders are made by enquiry or quote, and are paid as stated on the quote.
When online checkout opens, you'll pay by card through Stripe, our payment provider, using the payment methods Stripe shows at checkout. The amount charged is your order total in New Zealand dollars, including GST at 15% and the freight quoted for your order.
Your card details never reach us
Card details are entered into Stripe's own secure payment form, embedded in our checkout. They go straight from your browser to Stripe and never pass through or are stored on our servers. We receive only a confirmation of the payment from Stripe.
Stripe is certified to PCI DSS Level 1, the highest level of the payment card industry's security standard. Your bank may ask you to confirm a payment, for example with a code or in your banking app.
Test mode while the site is in testing
Online checkout is not open yet. When it is first switched on for testing, it will run in Stripe's test mode, where no real card is charged, so please don't enter real card details on a test checkout.
Keeping your payment safe
This website is served only over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). We will never ask for your card number by email or phone, or ask you to pay into a different bank account by email. If you receive a request like that which appears to come from us, don't act on it: email trade@plasticshub.co.nz to check.
Tax invoices and refunds
You'll receive a tax invoice for your order showing the GST included. Refunds are made to your original payment method: a card refund goes back through Stripe to the card you paid with.
Your information
Our Privacy Policy explains what payment information we receive from Stripe and how we handle it.
